Anyone find a good (easily accessible) place to pass wires through the firewall? Any knock out plugs or other places that wont leak water??
Thanks

I wired mine to the interior light circuit by the sunroof. You need to remember to turn it off when you are not going to drive the car for a long period. But there is no reason to fo through the firewall.
Here ya go:

It's a remote mount one - there is an antenna that mounts up behind the grill and a receiver unit inside the car. Thus, wiring through the firewall is necessary..

I did the same thing, and it works great. It has one little wire peaking out the corner to where I mounted it up top. My V1 turns itself off after so many hours of inactivity so I don't worry too much about leaving it on, but I'm not sure about other models.
