Do "M" and "QS" pads have anti-squeal material bonded to backing plate?

some of them come with the shims in the box that you attach. I have seen
them come both ways... m is usually the noise solution pad and the shims are included in the box. QS are the ceramic which are generally even quieter than the m pad. In my book the qs is worth spending the extra over the m..

Thanks Bill. I'm looking for an alternative to the PBR Deluxes that I've used for years. The last set I bought was asbestos free and I've been fighting squealing ever since.
