E34 Windshield Molding

Can the black plastic molding around the windshield be replaced without removing the glass? If so, any tips or hints would be appreciated.

Yes and no.... It can be removed without removing the glass. However there are clips that are glued under the windshield that hold it on. If you pop the trim off, you will almost definitely break the clips. I replaced mine the same time I replaced my windshield. The molding alone was like $75 per side from BMA.
