BMW sells 8.5% more in year’s first half
MUNICH, Germany — German luxury carmaker BMW sold 8.5 percent more vehicles in the first half of the year, with the new 6-Series car and X3 small sport utility vehicle boosting sales. BMW sold 590,983 automobiles under its BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brands in the first half, compared with 544,872 in the first six months of last year. The company expects second half sales to grow further with the European launch of the 1-series hatchback in September and a convertible version of the Mini compact.
Funny how they don't mention the 5 series which is usually the one of the mainstays of BMW sales.
