more info about brake linings

Just had the brakes done (all around) including new sensor wires, (local reputable shop) yet the brake linings warning is still present on the display. What may be going on here? called the local BMW dealership no help but they would be happy to look at it???

also
why is there a "+" sign after the initial message, as in turning the key forward without starting, and then after the motor is running the message does not have the "+" after it???

+ sign means there are more messages to be displayed by the check control. There are two sensors, one on front, one on back, one might be bad still?
