Doesn't start immedeatly

I have this strange problem. The car 525I has nearly 103000 miles. Sometime when I turn the car in the ignition to crank position the motor doesn't turn over. Sometime it may turnover after waiting for 10-15 seconds or so. Other times it just have to be turned to off position and turned back to crank position couple of times. Anyone else with similar case. What could be wrong with it??

Starter... ignition switch... or neutral switch. Probably the starter... when it doesn't crank... grab a hammer and whack the starter... if it start right afterward, yep, it's the starter.
