Transmission Dip Stick Conversion????

Has anyone done a conversion on the automatic transmissions that don't have a dip stick to add one? If so, how hard was it to do?

one the rare occaision that it has the hole in the tranny case you just pop out the plastic plug and stick it in, otherwise you need to drill a good sized hole on the case of the tranny

I had to drill mine out from the inside. I made a temporary shroud out of card board to keep chips from getting in the wrong places. Go one size drill bit at a time. I don't remember what the final size was but I fine tuned the hole with a file. Make sure the rubber grommet on the dipstick tube is in good shape. One of the best things I've done to my car! I rest much easier at night....
