Do you think it would be possible (that is, without having to make major modifications) to place an E34 3.8L M5 engine in my car? 347HP would be nice.....

its always possible, but ask yourself at what cost?
i'm speaking with no previous experience but i'd imagine
a lot of custom fabrication will be needed as our cars and
engine aren't nearly as swappable as hondas are.

Well if you thinking of doing it DIY, then it will be pretty tough. Basically the things that need to be swap are the engine, transmission, rear axle+differential, Wirings, DME, Suspension and etc.
