Summertime sure is flying by. Looking forward to the roadtrip for the Midwest Fest Picnic. Thinking about our Virtual Car Show for maybe this fall. We've done Spring twice, and last year was a Summer show. So plan for a fall show this year.
Enjoy the pic..

When you said "shot" I though you were talking "dead" or "expired". A picture of the biggest, meanest deer you ever saw jumped into my mind...
:)
BTW - "Thinking about the virtual car show..." don't you mean "thinking about pounding the competition into the ground again at the virtual car show..."?

Two questions.
1. How did you make the picture come up like that?
2. What rims are those?

Brian, the board was a lot more fun when you had your E34...=) you've got to be one of the funniest guys on here. Thanks for your kind words..
Winfred, now you know you can't keep your ass out of the car long enough for it to be painted...=)
George, I still want to know if you're coming to the picnic. When Scott H. called, I thought he might have some inside information, he didn't know either. We'd love to see you there! That 7 could use a road trip like that!!!
Brandon, it'll be good to see you and Scott H. again, I'm really looking forward to the fest. Hope the weather holds out for us, how many people do we have registered?
1992 BMW 535, get in line with winfred...=) oh yeah, the feelings mutual...=) jus' kiddin'....
Robin, please don't say the "D" word....you really should have bought that "M" a few months back...=) Now you've got a couple months to get that "perfect" shot...
Mike, that was too funny...and there wasn't a speck of truth to it either =)... truth is, all of the cars on this board are gorgeous, and the artistic talent of the board members unveil that beauty through the car show. I love seeing everyones rides in their favorite settings.
Bill B......Chicago isn't that far...=) and that's a great name for a license plate, "Pure Sex"....although my wife might not let me drive it with that on it. Might as well put "696969" on it...=)
Don't tell that guy I parked in his yard and took a picture of my car, ok? Oh, yeah, you know that book you loaned me...well you better get another, I'm holding it ransom unless you come to the Midwest Fest Picnic...=) Oh yeah, when's VIR??
1992 BMW 535,
Pictures you take with a digital are uploaded to a "host", there is webspace on this board for that reason. Once it is uploaded to your host location, when you post on this board, click on the advanced portion and click on the little mountain top icon. It will provide a window for you to insert the address of your picture. Click "ok" and you're done....preview your post to see if it worked. You really need to practice doing this so you'll be ready for the Virtual E34 Car Show.
The rims are from an E39 Sport Package, they are 2 piece composite crosspoke #5's and utilize hubcentric rings for fitment.
Hope this helps...
Thanks guys, hope you enjoyed the "Shot"...

No problem, thank you and still hate you for how good your car looks! :) You've create a conumdrum, was looking to adding some DTM and Reiger parts - and now after seeing yours I can't help but wonder what an M5 clone would look like....

So should we ban JR from the car show so we can all have a chance? <jk>
scott540

No, he can enter. We could just have different categories to vote for. JR could be in his own class and be the only one in his class and not allowed into other classes. He could just win "best in the JR show".

gonna print and tape to my wifes back.....cheap viagra...
LOL :)
Very nice Jr
I like the idea of the virtual show, is it just based on exterior pics or do you provide a range of pics like say interior, exterior and engine bay. Or is it more of a car art type thing??

Our "Virtual Car Show" is based upon your single best picture you submit to the board. Some folks use photoshop to enhance their shots, and some have even created a web page that shows many different aspects in one "shot". Whatever you choose to submit is entirely up to you. The creative use of Photoshop can yield amazing results, or if you wish to use the ol' 35mm for that perfect shot. We give ample time for folks on the board to get out and practice their skills while unlocking their artistic talent.
The best part is seeing all the photos being posted on one day, show day, and admiring everyones work. Since we have members all over the world here, the show usually starts on Friday AM and runs until everyone has posted their picture. This usually takes 3 or 4 days depending upon what deadline is selected. Then the voting takes place and we all get to choose our favorite. There are different classes, as in, Best Photoshopped, Best Photography, Best this, best that, etc...etc....you get the picture? =)
With the new board format, I'm not quite sure how we will structure the show site, I'll have to get with ed and make sure we have permission to do this before we start our campaign. =) He's a good sport, and sponsors a heck of a car show!
It's certainly a lot of fun, competitive or not, the point is to get as many E34's as we can to the show. Someone might even learn how to post pictures on the web that didn't know how before, thanks to the many talented and helpful people here on Bimmerinfo.
Stay tuned for more information as "Virtual E34 Car Show 2004" gets rolling....

Hi Jr and the lads,
If the weather is nice, I will be coming on Darth! You've all seen the GQ and, really, nothing has changed on the car except that I have a little rust just starting to come thru on the back rear corner of the rear Passenger door bottom. So it's going in to get this fixed at Westmont Body Werks (German car specialists!) plus my rear bumper is getting repainted and refinished where some idiot in (what looks like) an SUV or truck ran up and over the bumper! It happened in a parking lot and it only scratched the paint and black plastic trim and no structural damage at all. Good job the bastard wasn't still around........
See you Saturday, will be there around noon and will stay until around 3ish.....
