So i replaced my turn signals with silver coated bulbs....which i think is just a coincedence, cause soon after i got the 'fast blink' on the drivers side indicating a blown bulb. i checked and the new bulb had melted the socket! I replaced the bulb with a new one from the auto store...and noticed that it was on bright (bright part of the flash sequence) all the time. Thus the melted socket i guess. then again right away, it stopped working altogether. now, since i have now tried 3 bulbs....is there a relay that is blown?
any ideas?

you must use BMW bulbs, the aftermarket Sylvanias or whatever melt the socket and/or housings. I went through 2 sets of taillamps before i realized this. If you have an Autozone near you, the part number is NOT 1157, those are the ones that melt them. I believe the correct one is like 3001 or 3007, those are Sylvania part numbers. Or go to the dealer and buy the correct ones.

try the dealer or an import car place, probably get one for less than the shipping from BMA

Dealer is not too bad... $23... my tab breaks... which is why I bought a new one.
