The timing belt broke on my '90 525 M20. The belt only had 30K on it, so it was unexpected. I'm going to do the work myself. I was wondering ifanyone has a head or complete motor for sale cheap?
You can email me, wdford4d@yahoo.com
Thanks

your head may be saveable, things to look for after a snapped rubber band, broken rocker shaft tower/s and the worst case possible the head snapped off of a valve and punched through a piston rendering the whole motor scrap metal. it's possible that you can swap a few valves and maybe a rocker arm or two (if broken) and be in business

Thanks winfred, that's what the indy who looked at it said, (he's a friend of mine). I have a Bentley, is there anything now covered in their proceedures that I should know about? Also, is it possible to swap a 3.5 without any big mods?
Thanks
