Need a new Keyless Remote

I've lost mine, again. One is on order at BMA, but the backorder stretches all the way to Germany.

Does anyone know of a good alarm store or source in or around LA where I can get the replacement remote?

You need an Alpine 8440 alarm remote. It will work on all BMW alarms.

I just got my 535iM and it came with an alarm installed at the dealer, but its made by hofco and the alarm is huge and on its last legs. Can i use the same remotes as everyone else or do i need one from hofco?

black flat modules with a green connector on one end. They will have a BMW logo on them. Mine is under the rear seat.
