View Full Version : Need to read codes on OBDII '97 Z3 2.8 Best way?

'97 Z3 2.8 has severe power loss. I have the Bentley book. First step is to read the codes. But I need a BMW or generic code reader. Does AutoZone or somebody loan or rent these?

autozone or discount auto parts will usually walk the reader out to your car and read it for you, if their generic unit will even fit das bmw (i have no idea).
