Hello! I wonder if someone can help me. I've got a 1993 E36 and the fuel indication light behind the needle has stopped working. Could somebody please confirm if I have to remove the steering to replace the bulb behind the instrument panel? Also how hard of a job is it because I can't seem to see any screws to remove the panal.
Thanks

hi,
I don't know how different is E36, but on E34 you will find two screws on the top side of instrument cluster. And on E34 if you have a standard big steering wheel, you can remove instrument cluster without removing the steering wheel. It is not straightforward operation, but anyone can do that.

Hey thanks! I managed to change the bulb behind the instrument panel. It was a little tricky, but I decided to change all the bulbs to be on the safe side.
Regards.
