It was this past Saturday around 6pm... I was heading out to a friends' daughters birthday party... drove my BMW with sunroof open, windows down... and driving 80mph on the interstate for about 35 miles... pulled off the exit, stopped at the light... I noticed smoke coming from under the vehicle... I believe it was the cat. converter... but then, there are two units under the car right after each other... it was coming from the unit closest to the front.... anyone have any idea what causes this? ...when I got back on the road, my temp gauge was getting closer to the red... turned the heat on... and it solved the guage problem. P.S. I had the coolant reservoir changed not long ago (it had a crack).... any suggestions what type of repair or problem I might be getting soon? ...that smoke really worried me and my passenger. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
