to put the newer style headlights, (with the glass covering), from the newer models onto the e34 ?
If so does anyone have any pics of this modification ?

I think I saw a picture once with e36 lenes, looked a little bit better than that.

Instead of doing something *unnatural*, why not just get a set of stone covers and be done with it (scroll down to BMP design stone guards):

Otherwise, if you really want e39 lights, sell your car and get an e39....
