My fan shroud is brittle I guess from high heat in the M60. I had a small accident and a piece broke off hitting the fan. I want to replace this now myself, it looks easy enough, like a 10 min. job, but there looks to be limited clearance. Do I have to remove the radiator or the fan just to install the new shroud?? That would suck! Please tell me there's another way!

on my M50 you have to install the fan shroud with the fan to have the clearance.

I did a radiator job on my ride a month ago... the shroud was pinned to the radiator at the top in two spots, and hten the bottom just slid into two grooves. (from what I can remember)
no fan removal required on the m60

OK that is good news. I was hoping the flared fan edge on the bottom would clear the fan when it slides in. I didn't want to take anything else out. How the hell do you get those wretched expanding rivots out w/o breaking them? Oh well, I think they're only like $0.50
