Help - Need a Steering Box - 95 525ia (M50 Vanos)

Folks - Any of you have or know of a place where I can get a used/rebuilt steering box for a 95 525ia (with M50 Vanos)? Mine unfortunately has **** the bed and I need to replace it. BMA wants $1400 US for it. I am looking around to see if I can do better. Let me know if you have any leads.

are the vanos/non-vanos steering boxes different???? I've got '89,'90,92 parts cars, with good steering boxes on them.

the 92 will work, i can get a zf reman for $700+ core if that helps

Thanks for the offers - Good to know that you have what I need. I am trying to source a steering box here in Toronto (cheaper Cdn $) first. If I do not find anything over the next week or so, I will let you know and take it from there.

i'm sure you could buy the rather inexpensive seal kit and have some one in canadia refurbish it for you...bill, erick et al's posts seems to suggest to me that the kit costs under $50 USD.
