Auto Dip rear view mirror

Hi guys

I have the chance to buy an auto dip rear view mirror for my 1989 530i SE M30 engined car. Can anyone tell me whether this will work and whether the loom will have the necessary connectors in the roof area? I fitted a set of rear interior mirrors yesterday with map reading lights from an M5 and found the extra connectors ready and waiting, so I am hopeful.

Rear interior mirrors! I thought only the LWB 7's had those, neat feature! Can you show us a pic? I'm infatuated with retrofitting the optional features.

Dan, These mirrors were on the 535is models in Oz and NZ. Interestingly the "s' model didn't actually have any real go-fast features in the motor dept.
I wouldn't bother chasing one down, pretty useless really, the thing likes to change postion every now and then on the highway while your not watching, just to scare the crap out of you next time you glance in the mirror and the driver behind appears to be in a different position. May be a safety feature to keep drivers awake!
