where to buy a tie rod puller?

if you don't do a lot of suspension work Mike, there is no need to buy any puller or pickle fork. Many autoparts stores have rent/lease/buy/refund with no out of pocket costs upon return...I used Murray's puller and separate pickle fork kits when rebuilding a board member's front suspension not long ago....all you need. I do own the relatively inexpensive tie-rod puller sold by Bavarian Autoworks...a nice little puller that works perfectly for the tie rods...won't work on the bigger control arm ball joints on these cars though.

BavAutoW has a tierod puller for $40. was that the one you mentioned?

Philip...I don't have a part number but if you go to BavAuto's website...you might find it..runs about $40 as Mike mentioned..perhaps a bit less. As to one puller Mike doing everything...maybe...maybe not...you may get lucky and find such a beast. I tend to like horse's for courses...why the rental/return kits are the ticket...when you tackle one of these suspensions...it is nice to have a menu of tools to use as the ball joints on these cars as most know can be very stubborn.

Here the kit that I got (recommended by Brandon).
I was able remove all of the ball joints and tie rods with these tools.

Nice set to have in the tool collection. You may need to use some heat in conjunction with the pullers. Good luck.
