"Check Control"

My 89 735il has "Check Control" pop up on control screen most of time when I start it....goes out. How can I check it????

I'm really starting to like the 7....really fun to drive...and soo smooth compared to my 535i.

I have the same with ignition position 2, plus 'see owners manual' followed by 'catalysator'. Then it goes off after the 'bong'. (maybe this is because I have a japanese version. Could be different by country depending on local specs, same like the stomp test is only required in USA)
Have it since years and no problem. Checked with my dealer here in japan, he says it's normal, just a checking function of the systems.
Used the PEAKE last weekend, did not find any faults.
So should be o.k.
Machine runs smooth.

Could be a weak battery, corroded battery posts, or the instrument cluster in need of "the capacitor fix" (least likely culprit). One way or the other the voltage is down just after releasing the starter, letting the gremlins sneak in when the unloader relays latch in.
