need to locate windscreen wiper control relay

hi, ive got a bmw 525, 1989, right hand drive, and i need to locate and then fix or replace the windscreen wiper control relay, can anyone help cos my local bmw dealer didnt want to help me and my manual is not telling me enough information.

the original fault is: my windscreen wiper wash/wipe stays on untill i turn off the ignition, the wipers work ok, its just when i try to use the wash/wipe the wipers keep going and the water keeps flowing

any help would be appreciated

when this happens on usa cars somebody has usually put a relay in this spot that the car didn't come with and does not need

the wiper relay is built into the relay module under the back seat on our cars

thanks for the information, yep found it under the rear seats, just gotta find out to make sure this is the problem
