I have just purchased an alarm system, I don't think it's a very sophisticated alarm system, but has a really neat remote with switchblade key just like some new cars. I think I'll install the main uni underneath the back seat, there's heaps of room under there, and I'm hoping I can wire in the lock/unlock wires to the wiring already there.
Before I start slicing and dicing my car's wiring harnesses, has anyone attempted this? Some hints would be greatly appreciated!
Alarm LED: I want to mount this on the dashboard, in the middle, between the vent and the windscreen. I'm going to try removing the glovebox, and seeing if i can wire it up to there.
12V Constant: I plan on wiring this straight to the fusible link (battery in engine compartment), what's the best way to penetrate the firewall? I'll need to use this hole for the siren wiring too.
Starter Kill: I'm tempted to ignore this feature, because I'm not too keen on messing around with the ignition switch wiring.
