what would happen or what would be the reccomendation say if someone (not me of course) changed filters and accidently added 1 qt redline dextron II instead of the dextron III as recommended. Stupid labels look almost identical. Should my friend be worried or no biggie?

Jeff,
I guess your "friend" will find out, but, probably safer than being a quart or so low! What is that about 10% of the total volume? I suppose your "friend" could always drain it again and "dilute" it further with the proper fluid.

Since it's not your transmission, tell your "friend" not to worry about it. You can give us regular updates about any future problems and we'll add to the knowledge base. :D

When you figure a 7.8 liter capacity, that quart is just around 10%. I don't see much likelyhood of problems. Tell your friend to purchase reading glasses.
