Its an automatic.
Had the tranny fluid, gasket & filter replaced 13K ago but i wanna do it myself this time (only fluid exchange) - to a synthetic.
I dont know if i have LSD or not but i will try to find out after the rain stops
will it matter with the type of redline oil to be used? - can i mix weights?

Here is a link I used when I changed the A/T filter and oil on my 92 525ia. If I remember correctly I used Redline A/T D4, which is equal to oem. Your 95 A/T may be different due to the so call lifetime fluid used by BMW. I paid about $7 a qt. two years ago. I used around 10 qt. to flush out the system.

I used royal purple in my trans, 3.50 a quart and a synthetic. As long as you stay away from no name brands and stay with a synthetic you should be just fine. Redline is also a synthetic but more like 9 bux a quart for the same ratings on the bottle, no brainer for me.
