Failed on Hydrocarbons on the 25mph test (passed on the 15, tho). At least it wasn't the NoX...!
Any suggestions? It just had its 60k inspection done, we ran a tank of that Guaranteed to Pass stuff... it has new plugs, new oil...

Did u pull a Jesse James and cut a hole in the cat yank out the guts and weld it back up... duh... lol

I don't even want to ask what CATs for that car must cost.
did they warm it up enough for the o2 sensors to kick in?
also, i've heard (but not personally confirmed) if you take the air filter out, you can get the engine to run lean temporarily.

Failed cats would be a NOx condition... HC's means "unburnt fuel". We have the 100k bumper to bumper warranty on the car ($100 deductible), so no biggie there... just wondering if there's an easy fix.

maybe one or two injectors are leaking a little or there's some carbon in there retarding timing? some aggressive fuel injector cleaner might make a difference, maybe?
