Stuff shifting in the trunk? Gas tank straps rusting and breaking? Heat shields rusted and hitting something? Under what conditions does it clunk? Cornering? Accelerating? Braking?, etc.

1 - Remove bowling balls from trunk
2 - Remove golf clubs from trunk
3 - Stop playing 'Clunking Sounds to drive by' CD
4 - Do a little research, like trying to ID when/where/how it makes the noise, and give us more info.
Umm, did you finally relocate the deer hunting guns and ammo that were clunking around in the E34's trunk to the 4X4?
