Ellipsoid driving/fog lights?

Anybody use these and see a difference? They must be actually driving lights, not fogs right? Does Hella make them or are they aftermarket only? My fog lights are sandblasted and do little more than look nice and give a soft glow. I'd rather have lights I can see with. Are they worth $100? Anywhere to get em cheaper?

i got mine on Ebay for 106 shipped. There is an amazing difference, mine are Depo's. They dont shine out as far as I would like but at least I can aim my low beams out farther then before. well worth the investment!

so if it fits your 530i, it should fit my 94 540i....nobody specifies it does...and it looks like I'll have to rewire for H3s as I've done for my H1s in my headlights. So if these are ellipsoid, that means the beam must be much more focused than the OEM fog light design.

And the not only fit but work well. However - I used the outside brackets from the fogs that came with the car instead of the mount bracket that came with the lights. It made for easier aiming. - JT

How do they look on the car? Anyone have a front end pic?
