When I took the splash guard off the bottom of the car the other day, I found a hose that has literally been crushed. I'm not entirely certain what it does, and browsing through Bentley's I can't find anything that looks like it.
This is a 540iA with an M62 block.
The hose is at the front of the engine compartment, on the bottom, on the driver's side, inside the splash guard. It is a short 90-degree elbow, made of hard black plastic, appx. 3" in diameter.
I was a bit rushed that morning so I didn't notice what it's attached to, but it has literally been shattered. It has no liquid coming from it, so it must be an air hose of some type. Any ideas?
