I need to buy some stuff rather urgently, so I wondered if the problem is on their end or mine. Is the website down? Can anyone hit it?

It works fine on this end of the broadband...

It doesn't work for me either.

Just wait until tomorrow and then call - since there's not anyone there right now, ordering online won't help you.

The link you used doesn't work, try this one. www.bmaautoparts.com

it appears that the server assigned to handle dns for the bmaparts.com domain don't have any records for www.bmaparts.com (http://www.bmaparts.com/) or bmaparts.com

EDIT:

This is the email I sent
----------------------------

Michael, Yves & Patrick,

Upon a "whois" of the bmaparts.com domain, the two dns servers are listed as NS1.SOPHIOSOFT.COM (69.20.21.217), NS2.SOPHIOSOFT.COM (208.233.99.227).

When I connect to those either of those servers via "server 69.20.21.217" using the nslookup program, I am unable to locate any dns entries for either "www.bmaparts.com (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/www.bmaparts.com)" or "bmaparts.com"

I just wanted to give someone a heads up on this issue.

Please let me know if you have any questions

I'll post up any responses I get.

Yeah, I know it's a DNS problem. Apparently their local DNS server lost connection to their ISP sometime yesterday. It usually takes 24-48 hours for the DNS to propagate once it comes back up, depending on where the server is located. I just didn't know if it was still completely down, or if the DNS record hadn't propagated yet. It sounds like some people can hit it now. Thanks for checking.
