Anyone ever seen a set of 17" M-parallel wheels? ...replicas, of course, since BMW only produced them in 18", correct? I just drive my 535 120 miles every day and just don't wan't the more harsh ride and expense of 18" tires... any input is greatly appreciated as always.

I think I've seen them on ebay a few times, but I think they were for the E36 or E46.. don't know about E34 fit.
(looks on ebay), I see these guys have some similarish rims in 17" AAA Rims (http://www.aaarims.com/specials/bmw-5-17-e34.shtml)
and there is also The Wheel Echange (http://www.thewheelexchange.com)

ummmm 1st BMW DID make them in 17", but only for the Euro M5 '94-'95, and the very rare M540i -canada only. so they do exist 17x8 fr; 17x9 rr. As for the harsher ride you seem to be trying to avoid, their will be little difference between the 17-18 option. Your ride "quality" is more dependent upon shocks and/or springs than wheels. To prove my point, test drive a G-35 from Infiniti. It has 245/40-18 sized tires and rides beautifully. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that a "stock" suspension (boge and oe springs with 18" package will ride more comfortably than a KYB shock/strut replacement with 15" tires. Hope this helped. and FYI, I offer the 18x8, 18x9.5 M-Parallel with Msport logo and hub rings for $600-$620 delivered. I agree, the 18" tires are more expensive but the 245/40-18 sizes are dropping in price quite a bit.

The euro M5 and Canadian M540i came with 18" M-Parallels -- 8" in front/9" in rear. The only 17" M-Parallels that you will find are replicas.
