E30 to E34 headlight swap

Is the subj possible at all?
I have Hella Smoked headlights on my E30. I want them use on my E34, visually they looks the same.

I'm pretty sure just the headlight units themselves will bolt into the E34 baskets. I've looked at the lamp pods pretty extensively, and all the mount points appear to be the same. I could be wrong here, but it only takes 30 minutes to check it out...

You would definitely need to put the lamp units in the E34 baskets though.

BBZZZZTTTTT. Sorry, wrong answer. The lights appear to be pretty much identical, EXCEPT the mounting points are considerably different. I guess you could break off the mounting tabs, then JB Weld them on in the right positions, but that probably wouldn't work for very long....
