How do u turn ON the Winshield defroster on 92 525i

How do you do it, cant figure it out 92 525i?

theres a picture right on the climate control !
just slide open the top vent only and adjust temperature
check out the pic on the dash!

Yeah, that took me a second to figure out when I first got the car. I guess its because the picture is in German.

Hi regal, Yeah the windshield will initially fog up with heat selected. Should you HOWEVER keep the heat setting on and NOT use the A/C, Then as soon as the glss/Windshield reaches a threshold temperature, it starts to clear. Obvviously the greater the temp difference between outer air and inner cabin air, the greater the fog time. It def does work applying hot air, just that it takes a short time longer as you are warming the glass and not keeping it at a temp either = or lower thann outside temp.

Most cars will automatically turn on the a/c system when defrost is selected. In addition to providing cool air on hot days, the a/c system also pulls humidity out of the air. Besides - its good to cycle your a/c a couple of times a month, keeps the seals in good shape.
