you are better off going with Sprint's Vision service. They sell a PCMCIA card, and 144k/144k service that's available anywhere cell is available. $80/month i believe.

This service rocks, i had it for a while when it was $120/month. Now i used my LG 4400 with Verizon on 1x hooked up to my in-car PC... works just as good... and cheaper.
