for the E34. I have a 1995 540ia with M60 nikasil and want to add larger stonger sway bars but don't want to pay a fortune for DINAN. Does anyone know the dimensions of the front and rear bars and or any good aftermarket companys.

Look into either M-tech bars (BMW m series) or Racing Dynamics bars from Electrodyne. These are the most common alternatives to Dinan bars.
I have the RD bars and like them. Of course, I also have a lot of other stuff done to the suspension as well. :D

thanks for the input. how do you like the handling, and what do you have done? Dinan stage 1, rd bars anything else?

Dinan Springs and matched revalved Bilstein shocks ("Stage one")
RD Sways
Ireland Engineering camber plates (schweeet!)
3mm front spring pads
750 thrust arm bushings
New subframe bushings
16" rims
As you can see by the pic, the car is very nicely buttened up a speed. Ride is firm but not a buckboard. Car is hunkered but not slammed. I've riden in others but still prefer this.
