My 92' 525i keeps blowing fuses for the fuel pump? Help?
engine turns over but never start unless I use starting fluid. Check fuse (Ok), Check voltage at tank plug with jumper at relay, new relay, new pump...still blows fuses? Help
As soon as I plug in the new pump it blows? :(

U got a short somewhere on the circuit... probably the wire itself.

well new bosch pumps aren't what they use to be, i've had several intank primary pumps die shortly after replacment, give them a good wack and they start back up, i think it's some shitty new brush materal that needs extra break in time cause if you run it long enough the problem goes away (the car won't restart till you bang on the new pump)

If I measure across the pump relay points 30 & 87 should I get 12volts? Wouldn't this mean I have one side grounding out some where..........correct......

try powering up the pump with a jumper wire and a 20 or 25 amp fuse, you can ground the pump the car body, that should tell if the pump is doa

Mmm... I wondered if a fuel pump can cause an explosion... you know... shorting out in a tank of fuel?
