Engine Wash

Just wondering would a regular engine wash harm anything say once a week? My country is so dusty.

No high pressure steam cleaning. Let the engine running during the wash. No direct spray on electronics/ electronic boxes.

i've found better luck starting with a cold engine then going for a drive after cleaning to dry, this comes from doing cars with real distributors that get pissed off when wet, instead of the crank triggered bmws that don't mind it as much but still don't like wet cap's
