Shortshifter?

hi i gotta E34 89 525i and i'm considering installing a short shifter, any one got some pros/cons and a price(plz state currency...)/diffuculty installing? cheers

I have one...it's great. The shifter itself will run you around $250US. I got mine from TurnerMotorsport for $255US. I have a UUC Motorwerks EVO3 (pn#: USSE52), and I think it's the same for all e34s.

If you opt to get it installed somewhere that'll probably run another ~$200US. UUC provides very detailed instructions though so you prolly won't have that tough a time.

As for PROS: it feels great.. CONS: I can't think of any :)

Its great. I wish i got the delring bushing... but i would not have been able to install that without a lift. otherwise the install is pretty straight forward. doesnt take very long either. IMO it only enhances the driving experience. i think i paid 225 or 250 USD for it.

i have the derlin's on my uuc ssk, a bit expensive, but its worth it in the long run
