Bleeding the M30, did I loose my touch?

I must have bleed something like 10 E34s.
I never had a problem.

Removed the coolant from the radiator and the engine block.
Put all the plugs back
REmove the bleed screw.
Poor the coolant slowly until it runs out of the bleed screw hole.
Put the bleed screw back and add more coolant.
Put the cap back.

Start the car, car goes hot. Shut it down.
Open bleed screw.... no air, no bubbles. Just coolant.
Did that many times. Still no heat inside and car just overheats....

Did I miss something?

Top rad hose is not very hot. Could be thermostat I guess...

turn the heater on high and have the key in the on position while bleeding with the engine off, I also remove the plug next to the temp. sender and the ecu temp sensor... They have that third plug, I remove that one and fill it with coolant from there to try and get rid of and air trapped in the block...

YEah I remember something about pooring coolant in the 3rd hole...
I will try that tomorrow.
I didn't know about letting the key in ignition while bleeding.

I will try that... else, might be something else ARG.

Funny that all the other M30 I have done never has this problem...

When did BMW start using aux pumps ? I know a lot of v8 540 and 740 have them. Wasn't under the impression they were used on m30 e34.

Well I've got an early 1990 M20 2 litre and it hasn't got the aux. pump. Luckily no cooling problems!!!
