M50 1992 525iXaT (UK): Have slight leak in rad, located near top rh corner. BMW replacement rad costs an arm & a leg (£330= app US500). Nissens about one third of the price
What have been boards experience of Nissens- Good bad or indifferent, or just the same as the original?

After my radiator self-destructed, I replaced it with a Nissens. It leaked from the joint between the tank and the core. I returned it and replaced it with a Behr. Had no problems after that. I asked the guy who sold me the Nissens if they had seen many returns and he said no, so maybe my experience is unusual.

nissens is a aftermarket radiator maker and they build radiators for most of the cars on the market over here, they copy the factory unit closely, the factory unit is made by behr

The nissens are cloes to the behrs, but some of the individual parts might not interchange. Tried to do a tank on an early m50 e34 and it didn't fit. I have a nissen in my 535i and have zero complaints.

Derek A: That IS of concern. What build date was your 'early M50 e34'? Mines Oct 92 and I've always presumed its amongst the first
