Hi Jeff,
I had figured that once you got the JC chip you were not waiting for mine.
I found that there are a few variations of thip required for 530's, and that makes it problematic. Maybe what I'll do is send you what I made last May and let you try it, and also send you the reader so you can read your stock chip and email it to me.

I was waiting for a reader to read my stocker and wanted to read the JC one also. Did anyone ever get a reader? I remember you were looking at one from Ebay but havent hear anything since.

My reader is at Mark Hall's house and is going to be sent to Ohio in a few weeks. When it gets to Ohio, you could send the stock chip there for reading. I doubt you can read the JC chip, it has a scrambler on it to prevent reading.

With a build date after 12/94, you would have EWS-II so that is the correct chip. I'd recommend that you use the 6900 rpm chip if it is a manual but if you want a stock one, just indicate in the REMARKS field of the order. I'll create a stock rev.limit chip. If you locate the DME, it should have a grey label, not a brownish red one.

You don't really need to check the DME, you will see that it has the grey label. I'll send a stock rev. limit chip. It should be OK on 91 octane, but a few m50tu motors ping on 91 even with a stock chip. We won't know till you try it. Hopefully you don't have pinging with the 91 CA fuel.

That VIN decoder stopped working this year. (it does not work with any VIN I tried). Where are you located? I am asking as I'd have to read your stock chip. This would require lening you an EP{ROM programmer. Tourings have slightly different software from the sedans. Send me an email if you like.

I know which DME you have, it's a 0 261 200 404. But, I found out this past summer (by getting some info that the dealers use when upgrading software) that there are various variants of the software even if it has the same software version printed on the chip. The touring and sedan has some small changes. I have not read a Touring chip so would need to read yours.
(and being a Euro, yours could be different ffrom a NA car)

It's not on my site. The reason is that currently, I need to read your stock chip to make one. I'm hoping to complete development of a generic EWS-II chip for those cars in a few months. I can't ship it till Friday, it could take 10 days to arrive there.

The drawing ended Jan 5, (I had 6 the minimum 6 orders at that point) but I am considering another draw with the orders received from Jan 6 to Jan 12 eligible, but with a max of up to 8 names so that the odds of winning are 3/8.

I have a few people in Australia using my chips. (maybe 10) but I didn't know the 535 was available in 1993. If you have the 0 261 100 179 DME, it will work and I'll ship to you my airmail.
