I just got a warning that my brake fluid may be low for a few seconds while driving today. While checking under the hood, I noticed that it appears to be around the middle area. Is my sensor out of whack?
Since I want to top it up, what should I use, dot 4 or 5. What's in the system of my '93 525ia. I've only had it a few wonderful months. Are they interchangeable. I don't think so, but would appreciate some info. Can I fill it with regular brake fluid or does it have to special bmw brake fluid. Just checking since I know it makes a difference with coolant.
