help to identify, please

Could you help me to identify this broken plug? It appiers to be broken while exposing 3 metal prongs and is orange in color. What it is and do I need to replace it. Car seems to run good, although I can't compare - I just bought it.

looks like the plug for the airbag, a 89 525 didn't have a airbag but did have the plugs in the main harness for it, they just hang from the harness unplugged, there should be one on the other side at about the same spot

Yes there is another one identical to this one on the other side. It must be air bag connection and You're right I have no airbags.

Looks to me like the crash sensor. Sits in my car on left and right side.
