I was curious how the Eaton mechanical locking diff worked on the Chevy Suberban I worked on over the weekend (had to take the differential cover off to remove the clips for sliding the axles out to replace the wheel bearing seals).
The wheels rotated in opposite directions when both were off the ground, yet it still locks up.
