Any suggestions? Platinum? Non-platinum? etc.

Bosch or NGK, stay away from platinum or so called performance plugs. The stockers are about the best you can get!

bosch super W8LCR, i run mine at 28-30 others run a wider gap

mine have 4 (i think) terminals on mine, guess id concider them un-gapable.

Listen to Winfred, the Bosch Super W8LCR is the plug you want to run in the 535. The fancy plugs cause nothing but trouble with the 535.

you should be running bosch F7LDCR or NGK BRK6EK both are twin electrode non gappable, same plugs for the m42/44/50/52/60/62 and 850 volvo :)

ditto Winfred and Jr. I would only run the stock Bosch spec W8LCR and gap them on the low side at .028". Also make sure your socket wrench is square while extracting and putting the plugs in....engine is cold and do not overtorque...you should feel the crush washer bottom and that's it...sensitive aluminum threads in the head.

gap spec is .028 to .032 and i set mine to .032 to .034 for a smoother idle and a little higher firing voltage.

Thanks guys. I'll go with either the Bosch or NGK. I must admit I have had more success with NGK's over the years. I've adjusted the valve clearances last weekend at a 'loose' .012" cold. I'm experiencing a slightly unsteady idle, not exactly rough, but as I said 'unsteady' is the best word to describe it. I used to have an old MS55 Toyota Crown fitted with a 5ME SOHC 2.8 liter engine which idled like a Swiss watch. In fact I could stand an Australian 50 cent piece on the valve cover with the motor idling and it would sit there as steady as a rock without falling over... No B.S.! After I change the plugs I'll check for vacuum leaks. I believe the M30's aren't the worlds smoothest idling engine though once you wind it up on the road it really is very nice!
