View Full Version : Climate control - No heating on driver's side?

I haven't had a chance to sit down and properly diagnose this yet but when I set both the driver's & passenger (RHD) side climate controls to maximum heat (28 celsius) only the passenger side gets heated air. The driver's side simply doesn't. I'm thinking it's most likely either a U/S driver's side heater valve or lack of power to it. Also, are there one or two auxiliary coolant pumps supplying the heater core?
TIA - Cheers

1 aux pump only. Even if you would bypass the aux pump you could get hot water into the heater core, only less when engine idles.
Remove the power plug from the heater valve block, then the valves should be fully open. If not, hit the valve slidhtly with a wooden piece, maybe the core is stuck.
If that does not help, you probably need new heater valves.

ditto smack on the valves, their unpowered position is full open (it takes power to turn the heat off)
