Hi. Need to find out month of production on my 94 540I. Has to do with oxygen sensors. Also found universal Bosch oxygen sensors fo $40.00 a pop new. retail model specific at $90 + each... the universals can be spliced to the existing wiring & connector plug so ... less expensive deal.. I know stealer can be arip for this stuff. Is there a chart or some indicator in my VIN that will tell me what month of production was or somewhere on the car itself? Thank you...

I recommend to not buy universal ones which have to be spliced.
Buy original ones, you do not buy them every year or every 20 K miles.
Sometimes a little bit more expensive is cheaper on the long run.

displays the model/engine code/year & month of mfg....etc.when you enter the last 7 digits of your VIN. The info is displayed at the bottom just above the "search for parts" button.
