e36 325i header fit e34 525i?

I just got a 92 525i that needs an exhaust manifold. It has the cat, but the downpipe is cut up.

I wanted to get one of those ebay headers. I've heard the fit is straight (my buddy is a bmw tech and has one on his s50 e30, as well as 2 friends with them on e46 m3's) and the fit is good for all of them.

however they don't have them for the e34, only the e36 325i. I was wondering if they would fit? Do they clear the a/c compressor?

It's ok if the downpipe has to be modified a bit to fit the cat, but I need to make sure the rest is ok

yeah, I have the manifolds I just need the downpipe. There is a local shop that has the stuff, but I figure for the price I might as well just try aftermarket. to buy used factory downpipe would include the cat. I already have a cat, and dont want to pay the premium to get a new one
