Default For sale: M5 Throwing Star wheels

    Selling 5 Throwing Star wheels:

    Fronts: 17x8 with Pzero 235x45
    Rears: 17x9 with Pzero 255x40
Spare Wheel: 17x8 with original Michelin 235x40 spare tire. Spare has never been mounted and is in new condition.

Wheels are in excellent condition. Tires have some uneven wear due to the car being lowered and having negative camber. Wheels are in superb condition and only one has a small blemish. I can supply many more pictures for those that are interested as I was only able to attach 4 of them. I have had the wheels mounted on my '91 535i which is lowered with the Sachs sporting kit. No rubbing and ride is excellent.
Looking to get $1500 + shipping for all 5 wheels. I am open to offers though.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Well, 3 of them are not! Let me know if you would be interested in the 2 fronts + the spare (fronts have the t-star covers and spare has no cover). All 17x8.

Well, if you bought the (3) 17x8's that I have, you would only need one more 17x8 unless you want one as a spare. Ebay has them sometimes, as do the guys on the yahoo M5 list.

    Yeah, cosmetic <dons Nomex suit>.

Wider rear tires are intended to help reduce oversteer on very powerful cars. These cars are already set up to push (understeer) so adding wider rears makes this even worse.

My M5 pushed and the solution was a stiffer rear bar (20mm from the M5T - U$105 from BMA) to complement the stock front bar. I run 235/45Y17 Pilot Sports on all four corners.

    Cheers,
    Anthony
