Default Driving without the Clutch (beating a dead horse)

I got bored and curious in LA traffic and give this a try today, and thought back to the thread a few weeks ago.

    A few points:

    1) Very easy to do, especially in the higher gears. 1st is the toughest to do.
    2) Most of the shifts went through around 2500 rpm
    3) 4th was as smooth as using the clutch
    4) the people behind me probably didnt appreciate it
    5) no more tow trucks when the clutch fails!

Default really excercizes the syncros, good at rebuilding then trannies?

syncs are the ones taking the abuse, unless you have cross cut gearing and its setup to do that it wont make life any better by eliminating the clutch. It is fun tho.
